Big Apples and Cake
The Cake Shop, Downtown Manhattan, Thursday 11th 8pm. Yesterday’s flight was interesting. Andy chatted to a man for seven hours but never asked the guy his name! Dan watched ‘Australia’ which lasted for seven hours. Emma felt ill the entire journey but felt better after throwing up in front of the passport control desk – just before she was called through. It was spectacular. We travelled by propeller plane to New York City. After 24 hours of travelling we finally crashed at houses – one in Upper Manhattan and one in Weehawken, New Jersey. We’ve spent today sightseeing. Highlights included: the Ferris wheel in ‘Toys ‘R’ Us’, numerous bagels and ‘super’ strong gravy coffee. We’re now at The Cake Shop, a cool music venue with cakes. We’ve just had a photo shoot, people are starting to arrive and we’re looking forward to playing our first gig in the US…
